1. About these terms

mousaalraeesi.com is owned and run by Mousa AlRaeesi, a visual artist and photographer based in the United Arab Emirates. In these terms, "I", "me" and "my" refer to Mousa AlRaeesi, and "you" refers to anyone who visits the site or buys or licenses work from me.

If you place an order, commission work or license an image, the quote, invoice or written agreement for that job also applies. If anything in that document conflicts with these terms, the specific agreement takes priority.

2. Using this website

You may browse this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. When using it, you agree not to:

• Download, copy, scrape or harvest images or content, including by automated tools, except as allowed in section 4.

• Use any image or content to train, fine-tune or test artificial intelligence or machine learning systems.

• Attempt to disable or get around any feature that protects the images, such as right-click protection or watermarks.

• Send spam, harmful code or misleading information through the contact form or any other channel.

• Use the site in any way that breaks UAE law or the law of the country you are in.

I try to keep the site available and accurate, but I may change, suspend or remove any part of it at any time without notice.

3. Copyright in my work

All photographs, artworks, AI art, text and other content on this site are my original work and are protected by the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2021 on Copyright and Neighbouring Rights and by international copyright treaties. Unless I say otherwise in writing, I own all rights in them.

Buying a print or viewing an image does not give you any copyright or right to reproduce it. Copyright stays with me unless a written agreement signed by me says otherwise.

Using my work without permission, including removing a watermark or credit, may lead to a request for payment of a licence fee, removal of the content, or legal action.

4. Sharing my work online

You are welcome to share links to pages on this site, and to reshare my posts using the built-in share features of Instagram and Threads. When doing so, please keep my name and credit visible.

Any other use, such as reposting an image as your own content, using it on a business website, in advertising, on products or in print, needs my written permission and usually a licence.

5. Image licensing

I license images for editorial, commercial and personal uses. Each licence is agreed in writing and sets out:

• How and where the image may be used, such as web, print, advertising or packaging.

• How long the licence lasts and in which countries it applies.

• Whether it is exclusive or non-exclusive.

• The fee and how the image must be credited.

A licence starts only once the agreed fee has been paid in full. Unless the licence says otherwise, it is non-exclusive and non-transferable, and it does not allow you to edit the image beyond basic cropping or resizing. Any use outside the agreed terms needs a new or extended licence.

If an image shows a recognisable person or private property, you are responsible for making sure your intended use is lawful unless I have confirmed in writing that I hold the necessary releases.

6. Prints

Prints are produced to order. Sizes, papers, framing options, edition details and delivery estimates are confirmed in your quote before you pay.

Limited editions

Where a print is sold as a limited edition, the edition size is stated at the time of sale and will not be increased. Each limited edition print may come with a signature and certificate of authenticity as described in the quote.

Delivery

Delivery times are estimates and may vary, especially for international orders. For deliveries outside the UAE, you are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or fees charged in your country.

Damaged or incorrect items

Please check your print when it arrives. If it is damaged or not what you ordered, contact me within 7 days of delivery with photos of the print and packaging, and I will arrange a replacement or refund. Because prints are made to order, I cannot accept returns if you simply change your mind, unless UAE consumer protection law requires otherwise.

7. Commissions

For commissioned photography or artwork, the scope, schedule, deliverables, fee and usage rights are agreed in writing before work begins.

• A non-refundable deposit, stated in the quote, is due to secure the booking.

• If you cancel after booking, the deposit is kept to cover time reserved and preparation. Any further cancellation charges will be set out in the agreement.

• If I have to cancel because of illness, unsafe conditions or events outside my control, I will offer a new date or refund the amounts you have paid.

• You receive the rights to use the final work as stated in the agreement. Unless agreed otherwise, I keep copyright and may show the work in my portfolio, on this site and on social media.

• Delivered files are selected and edited in my style. Unedited or raw files are not included unless agreed in writing.

8. Prices and payment

All prices are quoted in UAE dirhams (AED) unless stated otherwise, and include VAT where it applies. Quotes are valid for the period stated on them. Work is not produced or delivered, and licences do not take effect, until payment has been received as agreed.

9. AI art

Works shown in the AI Art section are created using artificial intelligence tools combined with my own direction, prompting, selection and editing. They are clearly labelled as AI art. Licensing and sale of these works may be subject to additional conditions, which I will explain before any agreement.

10. Colour and accuracy

Images on screen can look different depending on your device and display settings. I take care to match prints closely to the original files, but small variations in colour and tone between the screen and the printed work are normal and are not considered a defect.

11. Liability

The website and its content are provided as they are. While I try to keep information accurate and up to date, I do not guarantee that the site will always be available, error-free or free of viruses.

To the extent allowed by law, I am not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. For any order, commission or licence, my total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under UAE consumer protection law or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Other websites

This site links to Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp and other external services. I do not control those services and am not responsible for their content or how they operate.

13. Privacy

How I collect and use your personal information is explained in my Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates, although I will always try to resolve concerns with you directly first.

15. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated. Changes do not affect orders, commissions or licences already agreed.
